FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION
Productive Planning is not about accommodating people. It is about providing for every piece of equipment, or binder, document, file and communication device they might use, in a manner that supports the pattern of its effective utilization.
Ergonomic products such as chair arms, articulating keyboard trays and elevated monitors might cause discomfort and limit productivity if they do not accommodate the physical demands of the tasks the employees are expected to complete. In fact, serious discomfort can result from a task at which an individual spends relatively little time, if the physical demands of that task are not properly accommodated.
Coopers Productive Planning consultants have extensive knowledge and experience in conducting both physical and functional needs analysis. We know that employee needs can be as varied as the tasks they perform. All should be properly assessed to ensure the causes of discomfort are eliminated and employee productivity and efficiency is maximized by their workspace design.
